One Scarf Down

One to go! (if I even make myself focus on actually finishing it, that is...)

Feather and Fan pattern worked over 54 stitches on size 8 needles, two skeins of Dyelot bamboo yarn in Tango, and it's... long. Which is good, I love long scarves! But part of the reason it is so long is that I was loving working with the yarn so much I had a hard time making myself stop.

Miss Fritzerella approves.

The only problem being that you can't really see the glorious, bright colors! One of these days I'll get myself a better camera. And plan things better as well!

Just Keep Knitting, Just Keep Knitting...

Obsessively, row after row after row...

Which is fine, because I'm loving this yarn! It's my Feather and Fan scarf in Tango, a wonderfully soft bamboo. I'm having a great time watching where the colors pool, when they do. I'd have tried harder to line them up, but the one row of K2Tog's and yarn overs throw any sort of order out of whack.

By the time I'm done with this skein I'll have about 35" of scarf done, with another skein left to go. And as it's mindless, easy knitting, I imagine it shouldn't take me all that long to finish. Yay, pretties!

Making a Gamer Geek Happy

The trick is getting her to take them off! (Pattern from Ravelry. Knit in Cascade 220)

Post: The First

But it's not really a first post. On this blog, yes; but not my first blog post ever. Many moons ago (many, Many, MANY), I use to have a knitting blog. I loved it, enjoyed doing it, liked meeting the fellow knitters and bloggers I ran across in my travels.

Then life kicked in. In ways I'd never expected or anticipated (but who can, really?) I stopped blogging. I stopped knitting. I pulled away from doing more than a few things that I enjoyed. Things I've finally found my way back to.

I started to revive the old blog, which is still kicking around; but links are dead, pictures are gone, and I've decided it was time for a fresh start. I'm not the person I was back then, and this is part of the moving forward and reclaiming my creative and blogging voice.

So, welcome.
